THE POLYURETHANE

Polyurethanes are organic polymers that contain urethane bonds within their structure.
They are obtained by the polyaddition reaction between a polyol and a diisocyanate.

Valpolymer_polyurethane

In the family of polyurethanes, there is a wide variety of products differing in their characteristics and range of applications.
The properties of polyurethanes are determined by the type of diisocyanate and polyol used.

The main polyurethane groups are:

  • Flexible expanses
  • Rigid foams
  • Elastomers
  • Fibers
  • Coatings and paints

THE POLITION.

Polyurea is an elastomer material obtained by the polyaddition reaction between a diisocyanate with a diamine.
An aromatic diisocyanate or an aliphatic diisocyanate may be used depending on the characteristics to be achieved.
