They are obtained by the polyaddition reaction between a polyol and a diisocyanate.

The properties of polyurethanes are determined by the type of diisocyanate and polyol used.

Polyurea is an elastomer material obtained by the polyaddition reaction between a diisocyanate with a diamine.
An aromatic diisocyanate or an aliphatic diisocyanate may be used depending on the characteristics to be achieved.
